The simplest way to slow down the stress at work is to pause more often. Literally, press pause between meetings. Sit. Do nothing. Or, call your kids. Or, take a quick walk. The reason: if you don't take a break, your brain can't either. It will keep paying attention until you give it permission to slow down.
